{"id":35915,"date":"2013-03-11T05:36:14","date_gmt":"2013-03-11T10:36:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/?p=35915"},"modified":"2013-03-11T05:36:14","modified_gmt":"2013-03-11T10:36:14","slug":"congressional-art-competition-set","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2013\/03\/11\/congressional-art-competition-set\/","title":{"rendered":"Congressional Art Competition set"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Information submitted<\/em><\/p>\n<p>U.S. Representative Bob Latta (R-Bowling Green)\u00a0has announced the 2013 Congressional Art Competition and encourages high school students in Ohio\u2019s Fifth Congressional District to submit their original artwork.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Congressional Art Competition is a tremendous opportunity to encourage and recognize the creative talents of our high school students from Ohio\u2019s Fifth Congressional District,\u201d Latta said. \u201cWe had excellent submissions last year and I look forward to seeing our district\u2019s artwork represented in the U.S. Capitol this year.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Original artwork must be submitted by April 3. Applicants can drop off their application and artwork to one of the following district offices:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bowling Green \u2013 1045 N. Main Street, Suite 6, Bowling Green<\/li>\n<li>Defiance \u2013 101 Clinton Street, Suite 1200, Defiance<\/li>\n<li>Findlay \u2013 318 Dorney Plaza, Room 302, Findlay<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>District staff is also available to obtain artwork from students. To arrange a pick-up time, contact the Defiance office at 419.782.1996.<\/p>\n<p>Winners will be announced at the University of Findlay, Mazza Museum on Saturday, April 20.
