The purpose of the increased visibility is to reduce traffic crashes and identify unsafe driving in Mercer County.<\/p>\n<p>Sheriff Grey reminds citizens to never drink and drive, and encourages those who consume to have a designated driver to help keep Mercer County roadways safe.<\/p>\n<p>In 2012 statewide, 5 out of every 6 fatal crashes during the St. Patrick\u2019s Day weekend involved alcohol.\u00a0The Sheriff\u2019s Office goal is for citizens to be safe, and to \u201cDrive Sober or Get Pulled Over\u201d.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mercer County Sheriff\u2019s Office news CELINA &#8212; Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey announced today there would be extra deputies patrolling Mercer County during the upcoming St. Patrick\u2019s Day weekend.
