{"id":36578,"date":"2013-03-27T05:07:19","date_gmt":"2013-03-27T10:07:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/?p=36578"},"modified":"2013-03-27T05:08:03","modified_gmt":"2013-03-27T10:08:03","slug":"groups-serving-food-need-state-license","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2013\/03\/27\/groups-serving-food-need-state-license\/","title":{"rendered":"Groups serving food need state license"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>VW County Health Dept. news<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Van Wert County Health Department would like to remind the public that Ohio Revised Code Chapter 3717 says that no person or government entity shall operate a food service operation without a license, unless found to be exempt as determined by the Health Department according to state law.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/VW-County-Health-Dept.-logo-9-2009.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-30370\" src=\"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/VW-County-Health-Dept.-logo-9-2009.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"124\" \/><\/a>Any person wanting to sell food to the public who does not have a permanent or mobile food license must obtain a temporary food service operation license, unless otherwise noted. Fairs, festivals, and social gatherings for the public are examples of events at which food may be sold that may require a license.\u00a0 The cost of this license is $45 per event.
