U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) has announced that Wren Volunteer Fire Department has been awarded resources for operations and safety by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security\u2019s (DHS) Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Assistance to Firefighters Grants (AFG) program.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur first responders put their lives on the line every day across Ohio,\u201d said Brown. \u201cThese funds ensure that firefighters in Wren have the resources they need to perform their jobs safely.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This is Round 20 of the competitive Fiscal Year 2012 AFG announcements.
