{"id":37064,"date":"2013-04-10T05:54:19","date_gmt":"2013-04-10T10:54:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/?p=37064"},"modified":"2013-04-10T05:54:20","modified_gmt":"2013-04-10T10:54:20","slug":"mp-lions-plan-annual-chicken-dinner","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2013\/04\/10\/mp-lions-plan-annual-chicken-dinner\/","title":{"rendered":"MP Lions plan annual chicken dinner"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Middle Point Lions Club news<\/em><\/p>\n<p>MIDDLE POINT &#8212; The Middle Point Lions Club will hold its 40th annual chicken dinner Sunday, April 28, at Lincolnview Local Schools.\u00a0 Dinners will be served from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. in the Lincolnview cafeteria, while carryout service will also be provided.<\/p>\n<p>The dinner will be slightly different from the past, as the club will feature fried chicken prepared by<\/p>\n<p>The Chik N House restaurant of Delphos. The dinner includes \u201call you can eat\u201d chicken, mashed potatoes, a choice of corn or green beans, a dinner roll, beverage, and pie.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets are $8 for adults, $4 for children 6-12, and all under 5 are admitted free.\u00a0 Tickets can be purchased from Lions Club members or at the door.<\/p>\n<p>Proceeds from this event will go toward the scholarship fund for Lincolnview students. Scholarships will be awarded to Lincolnview seniors during graduation ceremonies. Scholarships are based on scholastic records, financial need and the desire of students to attend and finish college.
