{"id":37240,"date":"2013-04-15T07:13:43","date_gmt":"2013-04-15T12:13:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/?p=37240"},"modified":"2013-04-15T07:13:43","modified_gmt":"2013-04-15T12:13:43","slug":"parkway-announces-2013-prom-info","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2013\/04\/15\/parkway-announces-2013-prom-info\/","title":{"rendered":"Parkway announces 2013 prom info"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Parkway High School news<\/em><\/p>\n<p>ROCKFORD &#8212; The Parkway High School Junior Class (Class of 2014) will be proudly presenting \u201cLight Up the Night,\u201d a glow-in-the-dark theme, for its junior-senior prom on Saturday, April 20.<\/p>\n<p>Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. with promenade beginning at 6 that evening.\u00a0 The Junior Class is asking for a $1 donation per person to offset the costs of prom this year.\u00a0 Promenade will end at approximately 7 p.m. with the crowning of the 2013 Prom King and Queen by 2012 Prom Queen Amy Agler.<\/p>\n<p>Students will enjoy a delicious Italian buffet catered by Gourmet Gals of Rockford, while table decorations this year are being provided by Dreams by Tolanda of Rockford.<\/p>\n<p>The dance will begin at 8:30 and run until 11 p.m., with DJ service being provided by Stage Right Productions of Fort Recovery.<\/p>\n<p>Students will then board buses at 11:30 that night and travel to Pla-Mor Lanes in Coldwater for bowling, cornhole, pizza and more.<\/p>\n<p>Note after-prom will last until 2 a.m., with the students returning to the school by 2:30 a.m.\u00a0Students will then have 30 minutes to get home in order to make curfew.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Parkway High School news ROCKFORD &#8212; The Parkway High School Junior Class (Class of 2014) will be proudly presenting \u201cLight Up the Night,\u201d a glow-in-the-dark theme, for its junior-senior prom on Saturday, April 20.
