{"id":37603,"date":"2013-04-23T06:21:55","date_gmt":"2013-04-23T11:21:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/?p=37603"},"modified":"2013-04-23T06:21:55","modified_gmt":"2013-04-23T11:21:55","slug":"lancer-baseball-team-downs-ada-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2013\/04\/23\/lancer-baseball-team-downs-ada-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Lancer baseball team downs Ada"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Lincolnview baseball news<\/em><\/p>\n<p>ADA &#8212; The Lincolnview Lancer baseball team had another good outing, beating the Ada Bulldogs 3-2 in Northwest Conference action on good defense and the strong pitching of Eli Farmer.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEli has had three outstanding starts in a row,\u201d said Lincolnview Coach Kevin Longstreth. \u201cHe is doing a good job of throwing all of his pitches for strikes. The defense did a pretty good job, for the most part; we had two mistakes that cost us two runs, but Eli worked his way through it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Lancers scored first in the top of the first inning and added a run in the third inning for a 3-0 lead. The Bulldogs rallied near the end of the game, scoring a run each in the sixth and seventh innings, but it wasn\u2019t enough to beat Lincolnview.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe cane out once again at the start and put pressure on and scored runs early,\u201d Coach Longstreth noted. \u201cWe, however, could not get a big hit when we had guys in scoring position.
