Lincolnview track and field news<\/em><\/p>\n

DELPHOS — The Lincolnview Lancer boys\u2019 and girls\u2019 track teams competed in the Delphos St. John\u2019s Invitational on Saturday. Both the boys\u2019 and girls\u2019 teams had excellent showing, with both placing third overall. The Lady Lancers finished with 79.5 points, only 6.5 points behind Fort Jennings, which won the meet. The boys finished the meet with 86 points.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe kids had a great meet, following a very long week,\u201d said Lincolnview Coach Matt Langdon. \u201cThis is our third meet in six days; however, they came out and had some amazing performances.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is a testament to their heart and desire to compete and do their best,\u201d Coach Langdon added. \u201cIt was tough for the girls falling just a few points short of winning, but there is very little they could have done differently. We just ran out of girls.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Lincolnview said he likes where his team is right now, noting that he feels the team is in a great place to be going into the last part of the regular season schedule, with the conference meet and tournament down the road.<\/p>\n

3200-meter run \u2013 Tow, first, 10:20<\/p>\n

3200-meter run \u2013 Jeff Jacomet, second, 10:23<\/p>\n

Girls 4×100-meter relay \u2013 second, 54.4 seconds<\/p>\n

400-meter dash \u2013 Kade Carey, third, 52.7 seconds<\/p>\n

High jump (boys) \u2013 Carey, third, 6 feet even<\/p>\n

300-meter hurdles \u2013 Doug Hicks, fourth, 45.3 seconds<\/p>\n

800-meter run \u2013 Ben Bilimek, third place, 2:10.6<\/p>\n
