{"id":37949,"date":"2013-05-01T06:25:15","date_gmt":"2013-05-01T11:25:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/?p=37949"},"modified":"2013-05-01T06:25:15","modified_gmt":"2013-05-01T11:25:15","slug":"task-force-busts-suspected-drug-house","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2013\/05\/01\/task-force-busts-suspected-drug-house\/","title":{"rendered":"Task force busts suspected drug house"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Van Wert independent<\/em><\/p>\n<p>OHIO CITY &#8212; An alleged \u201cdrug house\u201d in the village of Ohio City was busted on Tuesday morning by area law enforcement officers.<\/p>\n<p>Members of the West Central Ohio Crime Task Force, along with the Allen County Sheriff\u2019s Office SWAT Team, served a search warrant at the residence, located at 208 W. Carmean St. in Ohio City, at 11:06 a.m. Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Found inside the residence were the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A small quantity of suspected heroin<\/li>\n<li>A small quantity of empty capsules<\/li>\n<li>A moderate quantity of suspected heroin, capsuled for sale<\/li>\n<li>A moderate quantity of drug paraphernalia, including hypodermic syringes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Three adults were found inside the residence, with two of those &#8212; a 39-year-old man, and a 24-year-old woman &#8212; suspected of being involved with illegal drug sales originating at the house. Their names will be released once they are formally charged.<\/p>\n<p>The other person found at the residence is a family member to one of the suspects and has been cleared of any wrongdoing.<\/p>\n<p>Serving of the search warrant on Tuesday was the result of a short-term investigation that included narcotics being purchased at the residence.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone having information on drug activity or other crimes is asked to call the Van Wert County Sheriff\u2019s Office at 419.238.3866 or submit information using the sheriff\u2019s office website at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vanwertcountysheriff.com\">www.vanwertcountysheriff.com<\/a>. Anyone using the website can click on the \u201csubmit a crime tip\u201d link on the left side of the home page.
