Joan Gauvey, 83, of Payne, died at 3:35 a.m. Friday, February 25, 2011, at Dallas Lamb Foundation Home in Payne.<\/p>\n<p>She was born February 21, 1928, in Paulding County, the daughter of the late Clarence and Ana (Parady) Harp. She first married Lloyd Sutton, who died in 1973. She then married Rex T. Gauvey, and he also preceded her in death.<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include two children, Darren J. (Sharon) Sutton of Payne and Carol Snyder of Ponte Vedra, Fla.; a brother, C. James (Elaine) Harp of Payne; one sister, Genevieve Stumbo of Lakeland, Fla.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.<\/p>\n<p>Two sisters, Lois Ann Hudson and Janice Larson, also preceded her in death.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Private funeral services were held, with the Rev. Ronald Johnson officiating. Burial was in Wiltsie Cemetery in Payne.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>There will be no calling hours.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Preferred memorials: Dallas Lamb Activities Fund or Paulding Community Health Professionals-Hospice.<\/p>\n<p>Arrangements were handled by Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home &amp; Crematory in Van Wert.<\/p>\n<p>Messages of sympathy may be sent to the family at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.alspachgearhart.com\">www.alspachgearhart.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>R.
