{"id":39631,"date":"2013-06-12T05:34:02","date_gmt":"2013-06-12T10:34:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/?p=39631"},"modified":"2013-06-12T05:34:02","modified_gmt":"2013-06-12T10:34:02","slug":"bryan-man-dies-in-defiance-county-crash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2013\/06\/12\/bryan-man-dies-in-defiance-county-crash\/","title":{"rendered":"Bryan man dies in Defiance County crash"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Ohio State Highway Patrol news<\/em><\/p>\n<p>NEY &#8212; The Defiance Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is currently investigating a fatal traffic crash that occurred in the village of Ney in Defiance County.<\/p>\n<p>At approximately 8:46 a.m. Tuesday, Robert E Kibble, 88, of Bryan, was operating a 2011 Ford Fusion southbound on Ohio 15 when he drove off the end of a T-intersection at the junction with Ohio 249 and struck a utility pole.<\/p>\n<p>The Bryan man succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>State troopers were assisted at the scene by the Defiance County Sherriff\u2019s Office, Delaware Tonwship EMS, Ney\/Washington Township Fire Department, and Life Flight.<\/p>\n<p>Alcohol is not suspected to be a factor in the crash and seatbelts were not in use.
