MIDDLE POINT — The Van Wert County Sheriff’s Department is seeking information on a break-in that occurred at Amvets Post 698 in Middle Point.<\/p>\n
Sometime between the hours of 2:40 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 20, someone broke into the Amvets post and took several items, including flat-screen televisions. Evidence removed from the scene was sent to the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation, the Ohio Attorney General’s crime lab, for analysis.<\/p>\n
Sheriff Tom Riggenbach is asking that anyone with information about the break-in, or any suspicious activity occurred around the timeframe listed above, call his office at 419.238.3866, or submit the information online on the sheriff’s department website: www.vanwertcountysheriff.com<\/a> and clicking on the “submit a crime tip” link.
