MIDDLE POINT — The fourth annual Middle Point Ballpark Festival has been scheduled for Friday-Sunday, July 26-28. This year\u2019s events will feature a sand volleyball tournament, 8U, 10U and 12U boys\u2019 baseball tournaments, 5K-Fun Run and a 3-on-3 basketball tournament. Information on the individual events is as follows:<\/p>\n

Coed Sand Volleyball Tournament \u2014 Sand volleyball courts, 6 on 6 recreational tournament, fee is $60 per team. To register, contact Ryanne Bollenbacher at 419.605.2522 or bolly33@bright.net<\/a>. This will be taking place on Saturday.<\/p>\n

8U, 10U and 12U Year Boys Baseball Tournament \u2014 $150 entry fee and three balls, First eight teams in each division will be accepted. Each team guaranteed three games; format is pool play with top two teams advancing to single-elimination tournament; age cutoff is May 1 of this year. Two pools in each division. Contact Kevin Price at 419.605.8708 or k2thap@hotmail.com<\/a> for details. Once all teams are in, rules will be given for each division. Prizes to be awarded for first place (medals & team plaque) and second place (medals & team plaque). Tourney will begin Friday night and run all day Saturday and into Sunday.<\/p>\n

5K-1 Mile Fun Run \u2014 $12 Preregistration and t-shirt. $10 for no t-shirt and\/or race day registration entry for 5K, $1 entry for half-mile fun run, Contact Matt and Crista Owens at 419.968.2430 or email owens262@mac.com<\/a><\/span>. This will be run Saturday morning. A kids\u2019 half-mile fun run will begin at 8 a.m., with the 5K to start at 8:15 that morning.\u00a0 Registration and packet pick-up from 7-8 a.m. on race day.<\/p>\n

3 on 3 Basketball Tournament on Saturday \u2014 This will be held at the basketball courts, starting at 6 p.m. Fee is $20 per team. No pre-registration will be done. Just bring a three-man team at the designated time with an entry fee to play. Lincolnview Coach Brett Hammons will be coordinating the tournament. T-shirts will be given to the winners.<\/p>\n
