The Bob Stevens Classic Tennis Tournament is back again this year. The tournament, whose proceeds go to the American Cancer Society for cancer research and education, will run Friday through Sunday, August 2-4, at the Van Wert County Foundation Tennis Facility, adjacent to the Van Wert High School-Middle School complex.<\/p>\n

Tournament divisions include men\u2019s singles, men\u2019s doubles and singles, men\u2019s senior singles and doubles (50 and over as of August 2), women\u2019s singles and doubles, women\u2019s senior singles and doubles, mixed doubles, and junior boys\u2019 and girls\u2019 singles and doubles (18 and under as of August 2).<\/p>\n

Entry fees are $15 for those 18 and under and college students, plus $5 for each additional event entered after the first event, while fees for adults are $25 for the first event, and $5 for each additional event entered.<\/p>\n

A fun doubles event will be held from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, August 3, for the casual tennis player at a cost of $10 per person. Prior registration is not necessary for this event.<\/p>\n

Registration forms are available on Facebook (Bob Stevens Tennis) at https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/512886368783960\/<\/a>. Registration deadline for tournament events is Saturday, July 27.
