DELPHOS \u2013 Mid-summer is not the normal time of year for prime weight loss activities; however, a line formed all throughout Peak Community Wellness\u2019 Thin and Healthy location on Monday evening as 84 Delphos residents gathered together for the Canal Days Loss Challenge Kick-Off.<\/p>\n
A total of 22 teams of four, so far, will be giving their time, energy and money over the next eight weeks to help support local charities, cause, churches, and schools and create a better body of health for themselves.<\/p>\n
Peak Community Wellness, along with its Thin and Healthy licensed program, organized The Canal Days Weight Loss Challenge to set a precedent of giving big in the Delphos community while getting the community healthier. Community members jumped on board, and are raring to go, and teams will be working hard over the next eight weeks to get the greatest percentage of weight loss and take home the top prize of $1,000 for their charity.<\/p>\n
Media updates on the rankings of the teams will be available each and every week through various outlets, including Peak Fitness\u2019 Facebook page: \/MyPeakWorkout\/.\u00a0Those taking part in the Canal Days Weight Loss Challenge will receive a nine-week membership to Peak Community Wellness 24\/7, along with free metabolism retraining sessions and free metabolic evaluation. All group fitness classes each week will be free for challenge members.<\/p>\n
To accomplish the goal of making this the biggest local charitable event the area has seen, there will also be numerous contests and challenges in which teams, and even individuals on teams, can earn more money for their charity.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
