<\/a>Andrew J. Miller, 27, whose last known address was in Fort Jennings, was arrested at approximately 8 a.m. Saturday on an active warrant issued in Delphos, when the officer spotted Miller as a passenger in the stopped vehicle. He was and turned over to Delphos city police. Miller is charged with robbery, a felony of the second degree.<\/p>\n
Miller is believed to be one of two masked men who entered a residence in the 400 block of South Canal Street in Delphos the night of July 10. An 18-year-old Delphos man was assaulted by one of the two men before the masked men fled the scene. The teenager was treated at St. Rita\u2019s Medical Center in Lima for the injury received and released later.<\/p>\n
Miller will appear Monday in Van Wert Municipal Court for an initial hearing on the robbery charge. The case will likely then be turned over to the August session of the Van Wert County Grand Jury.<\/p>\n
Court records indicate that Miller was released from prison in April after serving a six-year sentence handed down in 2007 in connection with a series of break-ins in Van Wert, Allen and Putnam counties. In the 2007 case, Miller was caught by Putnam County sheriff\u2019s deputies breaking into a Fort Jennings business and he then fled and led deputies on a high-speed chase into Delphos, where he was captured by Delphos police and sheriff\u2019s deputies.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
