{"id":41037,"date":"2013-07-23T06:13:05","date_gmt":"2013-07-23T11:13:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/?p=41037"},"modified":"2013-07-23T06:13:05","modified_gmt":"2013-07-23T11:13:05","slug":"club-plans-food-drive-scavenger-hunt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2013\/07\/23\/club-plans-food-drive-scavenger-hunt\/","title":{"rendered":"Club plans food drive scavenger hunt"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><i>VW Community Club news<\/i><\/p>\n<p>The Van Wert Community Club wants to remind Van Wert County residents that the \u201cTogether We CAN\u201d food drive scavenger hunt is set to take place Sunday, July 28, between 2 and 4 p.m. \u00a0Participating teams may be canvassing local neighborhoods for donations during this time.<\/p>\n<p>Teams should meet at either the Commercial Building at the Van Wert Fairgrounds, Convoy United Methodist Church, or the Ohio City Village Hall at 2 p.m. to register and pick up scavenger packet materials.<\/p>\n<p>Individuals may also help out by dropping off non-perishable items in the collection bins at the following locations now through the July 28: \u00a0Shoe Sensation, Pick \u2018N\u2019 Save, and Main Street Market in Van Wert; Secret Garden and the Convoy Municipal Building in Convoy; and Koating Concepts\/Rent-A-Garage and the Village Hall in Ohio City.<\/p>\n<p>All donations will be divided among the food pantries in Van Wert County located at First United Methodist Church, Trinity Friends, Salvation Army, Convoy, and Ohio City.
