Off Stage Productions news<\/i><\/p>\n

Off Stage Productions announces open auditions for its upcoming ghostly farce production, Honeymoon at Gravesite Manor<\/i>. Written by Pat Cook, this family friendly mystery-comedy will be directed by Amber Evans.<\/p>\n

Open auditions are set for Sunday, August 4, and Tuesday, August 6, at 7 p.m., at the Van Wert Senior Center, 220 Fox Road in Van Wert.\u00a0 The cast consists of 10 people: 3-4 males and 6-7 females, with an age range of 15 and up. No prior acting experience is necessary.<\/p>\n

\"Off<\/a>Scripts are available for review before auditions at Premier Financial, 211 S. Walnut Street, Van Wert. Call 419-605-6708 for more information. Plan now to attend the production with five show dates for consideration:\u00a0 October 4, 5, 6, 11, and 12<\/p>\n

The story is as follows: Marian Thorncraft is looking forward to her honeymoon with new hubby Tyler. She pictures someplace romantic, secluded and cozy. No sooner have her feet touched the ground after being carried over the threshold than she discovers her love nest is really a one-time mortuary!<\/p>\n

Graveside Manor, as the locals call it, has been abandoned for years, mainly due to the rumors of it being haunted. Cozy as a bat cave, it’s about as secluded as Grand Central Station. A daffy maid shows up to clean the place and gets lost in the catacombs behind the walls. This goes unnoticed because Tyler is too busy ducking a female ghost with a hatchet, three high-school kids trying to set up a Halloween prank and his wisecracking female editor who once had a crush on him.<\/p>\n

Throw in an absent-minded cop and the escaped lunatic he’s looking for and the stage is set for a Honeymoon at Graveside Manor.<\/p>\n
