(YWCA photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Van Wert Service Club was established in October of 2006 when members of the Van Wert Sertoma Club and Van Wert Kiwanis Club merged. Because the group is not affiliated with a national organization, all funds raised by the club remain in the Van Wert and surrounding communities.<\/p>\n<p>The club hosts various fundraisers throughout the year, including Pancake Day and a Benefit Dinner\/Reverse Drawing, and then gives the funds to those in need in the community.<\/p>\n<p>Those interested in helping with the Summer Food Program should contact Hannah Phlipot at 419.238.6639.<\/p>\n<p>The YWCA\u2019s general operating hours are Monday through Thursday, 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday 6:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.\u00a0 The Y is closed Saturday and Sunday.
