A trained officer from the Van Wert City Police Department and a special agent from the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation were called in to clean up the dangerous chemicals.<\/p>\n<p>Keli L. Pontius, 26, a resident of that address, was arrested and charged with manufacturing methamphetamines, a felony of the first degree, and possession of chemicals for illegal assembly of dangerous narcotics, a felony of the second degree.<\/p>\n<p>The charges were upgraded because both offenses were allegedly committed within close proximity to children.<\/p>\n<p>Pontius was arrested and is currently incarcerated in the Van Wert County Correctional Facility.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Van Wert Police Dept. news A Van Wert woman has been charged in connection with a methamphetamine lab allegedly operating in the city.
