If you are entering your photographs in the 2013 Van Wert County Fair and entry tags for the photography exhibit have not been picked up yet, they need to be claimed between the hours of 9-5 weekdays or on Saturday from\u00a09-12\u00a0this week at the Van Wert County Fair Board office.\u00a0Pictures for the exhibit will be checked in on Sunday, Aug. 25, between the hours of 1-5 p.m.\u00a0Each picture is required to have an entry tag tied to wire on the back.\u00a0 It will be hung in the category indicated on the tag, so take care that the correct tag is tied on each picture.<\/p>\n
Only frames with openings no larger than 8×10 inches will be accepted\u00a0and they must have screw eyes in the back with a wire attached for hanging. The eyes and wire are to assure that the when the picture is hung over the concrete floor it will stay in place during the exhibit.\u00a0There is to be only one photo per frame.\u00a0No grouping of images will be accepted.\u00a0Panoramic pictures are permitted as long as the frame opening does not exceed 5×12 inches.<\/p>\n
Youth who were\u00a0under 18 years old on August first of this year are eligible to compete in the youth division.\u00a0Several of these entries have done very well in other competitions, so we hope to see a lot of participation not only by the youth, but also by\u00a0the older\u00a0exhibitors as well.\u00a0Judging will be on Monday evening and the fair officially begins\u00a0on Wednesday, Aug. 28, at 8 a.m.\u00a0 Remember, pictures come in this Sunday, Aug. 25 from 1-5 p.m.<\/p>\n
