On June 15, 1941, she married Carl Miller, who preceded her in death May 15, 1950. On June 13, 1952, she married Richard Lay, who died July 3, 2007. Also preceding her in death were three brothers, Nick Stemen, Donald Stemen and Harold Stemen.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Lay is survived by her daughter, Bonnie (Phil) McClure; and two sons, Eddy (Lynn) Miller and Stephen (Angie) Lay. She was dearly loved by her eight grandchildren, Kim (Rick) Snyder, Kathy (Chris) Dunno, Kris (Jim) Rea, Karla (Rod) Bowersock, Scott (Ashley) Miller, Riann (Josh) Stetler, Caitlyn Lay and Nickie Lay; and her 19 great-grandchildren.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Lay was a homemaker and a school bus driver for Lincolnview Local Schools for 25 years. She was a member of St. Mark\u2019s Lutheran Church in Van Wert, the Van Wert Woman\u2019s Club, Hoaglin-Jackson Sunrise Club and the local Red Hat Society. She enjoyed a long and blessed life with her family and her dog, Mindy.<\/p>\n<p><b>Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 26, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home &amp; Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Will Haggis officiating.
