DELPHOS — The Lincolnview Lancer cross country teams traveled to their first meet of the regular season Saturday and competed in the Delphos St John\u2019s Invitational.<\/p>\n
The boys\u2019 team placed third, just 4 points behind runner up Anna and 10 points behind meet champion New Bremen.\u00a0The Lancer boys were led by Bayley Tow, who won the meet in a time of 16:40.\u00a0Other top finishers for the boys included Ben Bilimek (eighth, 17:37), Alex Rodriguez (11th, 17:43), Trevor Neate (20th, 18:24), Travis Lippi (30th, 18:53), Colton Snyder (38th, 19:19), and Troy Thompson (55th, 19:54).<\/p>\n
The girls\u2019 team placed 12th overall and was led by sophomore Anna Gorman, who placed 22nd in a time of 22:38.\u00a0Rounding out the top five for the Lady Lancers were\u00a0Abbie Enyart (61st, 24:39), Claira Rhoades (96th, 26:47), Ryanne Ducheney (104th, 27:27), and Mikinzie Dull (113th, 27:58).<\/p>\n
\u201cThe kids really competed hard today and I was very pleased with how we started the season,\u201d said Lincolnview Coach Matt Langdon.\u00a0\u201cCongratulations to Bayley for winning the race today.\u00a0He ran smart and beat some quality runners.<\/p>\n
