Lester Frederick Miller, 96, of St. Marys and formerly of Rockford, died Saturday, March 5, 2011, at St. Rita\u2019s Medical Center in Lima.<\/p>\n
He was born October 15, 1914, in Harrison Township, Van Wert County, the son of the late Frederick J. and Emelie (Bollenbacher) Miller. On November 25, 1937, he married Marguerite (Wendel) Miller, who survives.<\/p>\n
Other survivors include two sons, Larry D. (Lois) Miller of Celina and Rolland L. (Frances) Miller of Rockford; a stepbrother, Carl Linn Jr. of Rockford; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.<\/p>\n
A granddaughter, Kellie (Miller) Hicks, preceded him in death.<\/p>\n
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 9, at St. Paul\u2019s United Church of Christ in Rockford, with Pastor Catherine Costello officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul\u2019s Cemetery.<\/strong><\/p>\n Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford and an hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.<\/strong><\/p>\n Preferred memorials: St. Paul\u2019s United Church of Christ.<\/p>\n
