(photo submitted)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><i>Van Wert golf news<\/i><\/p>\n<p>SHAWNEE TOWNSHIP &#8212; What proved to be a tough Western Buckeye League season for the Van Wert golf team ended Friday with an eighth-place finish in the WBL tournament at Shawnee Country Club. Bath, who matched the 2012 Van Wert\u2019s 9-0 undefeated record, won the tournament, with Celina second and Kenton third.<\/p>\n<p>The Cougars carded a 371 for 18 holes on Friday, which, when combined with its 3-6 regular season record, resulted in a ninth-place finish overall out of 10 WBL teams.
