Kundert"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Kenneth A. \u201cKen\u201d Kundert, 76, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at 10:15 a.m. Friday, September 27, 2013, in the presence of his family and under the loving care of the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_43537\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-43537\" style=\"width: 250px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/Kenneth-Kundert-obit-photo-9-2013.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-43537 \" style=\"border: 1px solid black\" alt=\"Kenneth A. Kundert\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/Kenneth-Kundert-obit-photo-9-2013.jpg\" width=\"250\" height=\"360\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-43537\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Kenneth A. Kundert<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>He was born March 7, 1937, in York Township, Van Wert County, the son of Pauline (Keysor) Kundert Gamble, who survives in Van Wert, and the late Forrest Kundert. On September 27, 1958 \u2013 55 years ago to the day \u2013 he married the love of his life, Connie (Foster) Kundert, who survives.<\/p>\n<p>Also surviving are two sons, Kent (Cathy) Kundert of Ohio City and Keith (Julie) Kundert of Convoy; four grandchildren, Cameran Kundert of Dedham, Mass., Kurt (Danielle) Kundert of Ohio City, Nathan Schaefer of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Rheannon (Jeff) Fetters of Findlay; two great-grandchildren, Kale and Katie Kundert, with brother Karson expected in December; a sister, Shirley (Dick) Bolton of Elgin; one sister-in-law, Janice Bollenbacher; four brothers-in-law, Larry (Betty) Foster, Bob (Vickie) Foster, Denny (Jill) Foster and Greg Foster; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n<p>A brother-in-law, Don Bollenbacher, also preceded him in death.<\/p>\n<p>Ken was employed by Aeroquip Corporation for 33 years. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, gardener, writer, fiddle player, and a member of the gospel-singing Soul Seekers. He loved his family, friends, nature and the simple lifestyle. A strong believer in American liberty, he attended Zion Christian Union Church and Trinity Friends Church.<\/p>\n<p><b>Funeral services celebrating his life will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 30, at Cowan &amp; Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with the Revs. Neil Hammon and Mark McKay officiating.
