Game scores were 15-25, 25-20, 19-25 and 12-25.<\/p>\n<p>The Cougars are now 13-6 on the season and 4-3 in the WBL.<\/p>\n<p>Varsity stats leaders are as follows:<\/p>\n<p>Serving \u2013 Riley Jones, 23\/24; Amanda Coplin, 12\/13.<\/p>\n<p>Hitting \u2013 Coplin, five kills; Alexa Dunlap, four kills; and Taylor Doidge, Landrie Koontz and Alexis Dowdy, three kills apiece.<\/p>\n<p>Defensive digs \u2013 Cheyenne Handy, 11 digs; Dunlap, McKenna Merkle, Claire Gamble, nine digs each.<\/p>\n<p>Setting \u2013 Coplin, nine assists; Jones, eight assists.<\/p>\n<p>The junior varsity team defeated Defiance in three games, while the freshman team lost in three.<\/p>\n<p>Van Wert will next be in action on Monday, when the Cougars travel to Antwerp to take on the Archers in a non-conference match.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Van Wert volleyball information It was a tough match for the Van Wert Lady Cougar volleyball team, as the Cougs lost in four games to Defiance in a Western Buckeye League match-up on Thursday.
