This compares with the national average that has fallen 4.2 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.38 a gallon, according to gasoline price website <a href=\"http:\/\/gasbuddy.com\/\">GasBuddy.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"MGN Online graphic\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/Gasoline-price-graphic-8-2012.jpg\" rel=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/Gasoline-price-graphic-8-2012.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-28382\" style=\"border: 1px solid black\" alt=\"Gasoline price graphic 8-2012\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/Gasoline-price-graphic-8-2012.jpg\" width=\"250\" height=\"188\" \/><\/a>Including the change in gas prices in Ohio during the past week, prices Sunday were 55.5 cents per gallon lower than the same day one year ago and are 31.5 cents per gallon lower than a month ago. The national average has decreased 21.4 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 41.9 cents per gallon lower than this day one year ago.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The national average has continued its decline which has been continuing for 34 consecutive days,&#8221; said <a href=\"http:\/\/gasbuddy.com\/\">GasBuddy.com<\/a> Senior Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan. &#8220;And the odds are very good that prices will continue to decline in most areas in the week ahead.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPerhaps most notable at this point of decline is how much cheaper gas prices stand versus the same date last year, with motorists realizing prices that are 50 cents or more lower,\u201d DeHaan added. \u201cMuch of the difference can be blamed on more active Atlantic waters last year that brought more storms than what we&#8217;ve seen this year.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><b>About GasBuddy<\/b><\/p>\n<p>GasBuddy operates <a href=\"http:\/\/ohiogasprices.com\/\">OhioGasPrices.com<\/a> and over 250 similar websites that track gasoline prices at over 140,000 gasoline stations in the United States and Canada.
