PAULDING — The Western Buckeye Educational Service Center Governing Board held a special board meeting on Wednesday at the Paulding ESC office to interview and hire a new treasurer.<\/p>\n
The Western Buckeye Educational Service Center Board of Education announced the hiring of Kimberly Jones as its new treasurer.<\/p>\n
Superintendent Brian Gerber stated that the pool of candidates was numerous and very strong. \u201cI was surprised with the number of candidates who applied for the position,\u201d Gerber said. \u201cNot only were there numerous applicants, but the candidates were highly qualified.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was a tough decision, but we believe we selected the best candidate with the most upside,\u201d he added. \u201cMs. Jones brings skill, knowledge, high energy, and efficiency to the job.<\/p>\n
Gerber said Jones\u2019 work ethic is very strong. \u201cHer former employers were very positive about her job performance,\u201d he added. \u201cNone of them wanted her to leave.<\/p>\n
The WBESC superintendent said the main characteristic that separated Jones from the other candidates was her non-abrasive demeanor and her total willingness to work within the team concept.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe rely on each other and work hard within the team concept to serve our partner districts to the best of our ability,\u201d Gerber explained. \u201cOur goal was to find someone who fit into that category and we did.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
