Mowry, 78, of Van Wert, died at 10:55 p.m. Thursday, November 28, 2013, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.<\/p>\n<p>He was born August 22, 1935, in Detroit, Mich., the son of the late Earle and Estelle (Taylor) Mowry. He married Corrine (Jamkowski) Mowry, who survives in Van Wert.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/American-Flag-for-obituaries-6-2011.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-8711 alignleft\" style=\"border: 1px solid black\" alt=\"American Flag for obituaries 6-2011\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/American-Flag-for-obituaries-6-2011.jpg\" width=\"125\" height=\"66\" \/><\/a>Other survivors include two daughters, Janet (Jim) Wilson of Toledo and Jennifer (Jeff) Hyre of Findlay; one sister, Dorothy Schreiber of Warren, Mich.; and two grandchildren.<\/p>\n<p><b>Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 2, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home &amp; Crematory in Van Wert, with Father Stan Szybka officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Calling hours are from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, December 3, at the funeral home.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Preferred memorials: Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center or the Alzheimer\u2019s Association.<\/p>\n<p>Online condolences may be left at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.alspachgearhart.com\">www.alspachgearhart.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Roger E.
