Van Wert swim team information<\/i><\/p>\n
WAPAKONETA — The Van Wert High School boys and girls swim teams traveled to the Wapakoneta YMCA to compete with Lima Shawnee and Wapakoneta.<\/p>\n
This meet was scored as a double dual. The Cougar boys lost to Wapakoneta 44-40 and Shawnee 54-40.\u00a0 The Cougar girls were also defeated by both Wapakoneta 71-23 and Shawnee 50-44.<\/p>\n
Senior Eric Easley placed first overall in the 200-yard individual medley and 100-yard freestyle and also set a school record in the 100-yard butterfly race.<\/p>\n
The team will travel next to Lima YMCA, December 28, to compete in the Holiday Invitational.<\/p>\n
