Sandra Kay Scheidt, 74, of Van Wert, died at 6:20 p.m. Friday, January 31, 2014, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.<\/p>\n
She was born August 9, 1939, in Columbia City, Ind., the daughter of the late Benjamin Paul and Zelma I. (Garman) Pequignot. On June 3, 1961, she married Dr. Robert Basil Scheidt, who preceded her in death on December 15, 2012.<\/p>\n
Survivors include a daughter, Deborah Scheidt of Germany; three sons, Mark (Mona) Scheidt of Van Wert, Douglas (Erin) Scheidt of Annapolis, Md., and John (Krista) Scheidt of Wheaton, Ill.; and 11 grandchildren.<\/p>\n
Two sisters, Joyce Ann and Betty Lou Pequignot, also preceded her in death.<\/p>\n
A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday, February 4, at First United Methodist Church in Van Wert, with the Rev. Gus Christo-Baker officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.<\/b><\/p>\n
There will be no calling hours.<\/b><\/p>\n
