If you are a guy and have a special gal you need to please this Valentine\u2019s Day, I have the answer.\u00a0 Also, if you are someone just looking for a good comedy release in the midst of this treacherous winter we are going through, I have the answer for you, too.\u00a0 First Federal of Van Wert and the Niswonger Performing Arts Center invite you on Saturday, February 15, to \u201cThe \u2018Not So\u2019 Newlywed Game.\u201d\u00a0 You will watch, enjoy, laugh and perhaps even participate and win some \u201ccool\u201d prizes, including the opportunity to win $100,000!<\/p>\n

Emmy-award winning game show host Bob Eubanks will be coming to town to share some of the funniest \u201cblooper\u201d moments from TV\u2019s \u201cThe Newlywed Game.\u201d\u00a0 Eubanks will be providing commentary and insight on what happens behind the scenes of one of TV\u2019s most successful and popular game shows of all time.<\/p>\n

We have a couple celebrity guests lined up to participate in the \u201cNot So\u201d Newlywed game.\u00a0 Come and laugh with Van Wert Safety-Service Director Jay Fleming and his wife, school teacher Kim Fleming.\u00a0Also see Van Wert County Commissioner Thad Lichtensteiger and his wife, Deb, as they put it on the line to answer Bob Eubank\u2019s questions of the night.<\/p>\n

Bob will also come out in the audience and select some couples to join them in rounding out the panel.\u00a0 Don\u2019t worry, no one will be forced, but there will be enticing prizes and a lot of fun for those selected!<\/p>\n

Candy and a dinner are fine, but good entertainment and laughter goes a lot further.\u00a0 The show starts at 7:30 p.m. and you can still get some tickets by calling the box office (419.238.6722) or going online at www.npacvw.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s been a busy time at the Niswonger in the past three weeks with Kellie Pickler, the Cinderella<\/i> ballet, and The Addam\u2019s Family<\/i> Broadway show.\u00a0Nearly 3,000 people have attended these three concerts and each show has brought a different audience.\u00a0 We are regularly seeing people from out of town attending our concerts.\u00a0 This weekend will attract locals, as well as people throughout the region, as Community Health Professionals present its annual \u201cOhio Has Talent!\u201d event.\u00a0 It all happens this Saturday, February 8, and it begins at 7 p.m.\u00a0Tickets may be purchased at the Niswonger box office or Community Health Professionals on Westwood Drive.\u00a0 Come and support some talented performers as well as a super cause- the good work of the Community Health Professionals.<\/p>\n

One last plug: this is for all of you who have had enough of this winter.\u00a0The Lima Symphony Orchestra is performing this Saturday at the Lima Civic Center at 7:30 p.m. \u00a0One of the pieces we are performing is Aaron Copland\u2019s Appalachian Spring<\/i>.\u00a0 Now, what could be more timely than to hear the music that will make you dream about the beautiful scenes and sounds of springtime in Appalachia?\u00a0 And to make you even more wanting, a big multimedia, three-screen picturesque presentation will accompany the music.\u00a0Hang in there, spring is just around the corner.\u00a0 In the meantime, you might want to dream a little with the Lima Symphony Orchestra this Saturday.<\/p>\n
