BLUFFTON — Lima is home to one of 22 Crew Persons of the Year. Ted Boyd, of the North West Street McDonald\u2019s in Lima, recently received the Crew Person of the Year Award, an annual performance-based award that recognizes the top performing crew in McDonald\u2019s company-owned or independently owned and operated restaurants. This award was established to honor hardworking crew employees — those who make founder Ray Kroc\u2019s vision of excellence come to life in restaurants and for customers each day.<\/p>\n

The Crew Person of the Year Award honors the top crew employees in each of McDonald\u2019s 22 regions across the United States. Established in 2002, the award spotlights the contributions crew employees make to McDonald\u2019s business of delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.<\/p>\n

Ted was chosen this year to receive the Crew Person of the Year Award for the Ohio Region, an honor that comes with a cash prize, plaque, pin, and more.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m just glad to work for such a great company. I love what I do,\u201d said Boyd. \u201cI\u2019ve always wanted to work for McDonald\u2019s.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are thrilled to honor Ted with the Crew Person of the Year Award,\u201d said local McDonald\u2019s owner-operator Jerry Lewis, who has worked at the North West Street McDonald\u2019s in Lima since its grand reopening in 2007. \u201cHe continuously provides exceptional customer service to guests and truly is a shining example of the best of McDonald\u2019s.\u201d<\/p>\n

McDonald\u2019s owner-operators and regional staff nominate employees for the Crew Person of the Year Award to recognize their hard work, dedication, and commitment to McDonald\u2019s. From there, a selection committee of representatives from McDonald\u2019s Operations, Training, and Human Resources select the top McDonald\u2019s Restaurant Crew for the Award.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
