At the Wassenberg Camera Club’s last meeting, it was announced that on Thursday, Feb. 20, the Fort Wayne Photography Club would sponsor a program by two professional photographers, Steve Vorderman and Tim Brumbeloe, who would highlight their travel experiences around the world and emphasize a fine art approach to travel photography. Officers Stuart Jewett and Rex Dolby attended the meeting, which was held in the Townhouse Retirement Community on St. Joe Center Road in Fort Wayne, Ind.<\/p>\n

Vorderman could not attend the meeting due to conflicts\u00a0with\u00a0his work schedule.<\/p>\n

Brumbeloe stated that he’d been to Italy approximately 25 times, and with his knowledge of the language and best places to shoot,\u00a0the two\u00a0plan to\u00a0organize shooting tours of the country.\u00a0It was difficult for him to provide costs\u00a0for the trip because\u00a0the number who signed up would determine\u00a0how much\u00a0transportation, food and lodging would be needed.\u00a0Until those details\u00a0are established, he suggested that anyone interested in going, keep checking his web site athttp:\/\/www.brumbeloefineart.com<\/a> for more information.<\/p>\n

He said that it is the income from his commercial photography business that finances his travel and fine art photography.\u00a0He\u00a0assembles such photos\u00a0as buildings, entrances, steps, and alleyways into a street scene.\u00a0Some times he combines mirror images to create an entirely different effect.\u00a0He observed that when he first started,\u00a0he created what he thought other people wanted to see, but he found a wider acceptance of his work\u00a0when he started creating how\u00a0he wanted it to look. Brumbeloe has exhibited\u00a0his work in galleries\u00a0along with\u00a0other artists as well as provided one-man shows.<\/p>\n

The Fort Wayne Photography Club will continue to hold FREE workshops on the third Thursday of each\u00a0month. http:\/\/www.fwphotoclub.com\/pages\/calendar.html<\/a> The workshop on March 20 will be Macro Photography: Arduino Tricks & Photography Tips \u2013 by Larry Kilgore, a presentation on macro photography techniques and the use of external devices and props to assist in macro photography. This is a hands-on workshop where you bring your camera and best macro lens. Anyone coming with a camera needs to sign up, so\u00a0they will know how many\u00a0to prepare for.\u00a0\u00a0Anyone who would like to attend, meet in the parking lot just across the creek on East Central Avenue from the Wassenberg Art Center at 6 p.m.<\/p>\n

The Wassenberg Camera Club will next meet on\u00a0Thursday, March 13, at 7 p.m. at the Wassenberg Art Center.\u00a0 More details on that meeting will be published later.<\/p>\n
