<\/a>According to the National Weather Service, and County Emergency Management Director Rick McCoy, the county could see as much as 10 more inches of snow this weekend, with another dose of frigid temperatures in the bargain.<\/p>\nMcCoy noted in his Facebook blog that heavy snow is expected to fall after midnight on Saturday and continue through early Monday morning.<\/p>\n
The National Weather Service is calling for at least six inches, and possibly up to 10 inches of snow over the weekend. In addition, strong and gusty winds should cause considerable drifting and blowing during that time.<\/p>\n
Today\u2019s high temperature is expected to be 25, with a low of 20 forecast for this evening. Forecasters are calling for a high of around 34 on Saturday, with a low of 17 degrees overnight, while an inch of snow is predicted for Saturday.<\/p>\n
Heavy snowfall is expected throughout the day on Sunday, with a high of 21 and a low of 9 degrees that night.<\/p>\n
The snow is expected to end sometime Monday morning, with a high of 16 forecast for Monday and a low of minus-3 degrees. Tuesday\u2019s high is predicted to be around 16, with a low of 2 above zero that night, while Wednesday\u2019s high is expected to be 22, with a low of 14 Wednesday night.<\/p>\n
One group has already canceled its Sunday activities because of the snowstorm forecast for that day.<\/p>\n
Because of the pending weather, The Ohio City Blue Ribbon Workers 4-H meeting planned for Sunday, March 2,\u00a0has been canceled.<\/p>\n
Instead, advisers will be at St John\u2019s Lutheran Church in Ohio City from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 1. Those interested in 4-H can stop in anytime between those hours, while club members can look at books and pick up enrollment forms.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
