However, this year it is far from the same as the Knights are still in action and so are the cheerleaders with all of their decorations in the hallway.

The Knights boys’ basketball team defeated the Ottawa Hills Green Bears last Tuesday and the Wayne Trace Raiders last Friday to win the Regional Championship and advance to the State Finals in Columbus. This is the first time since 2003 that the team has done so and this is the main topic around the halls of school.

“It is a great feeling knowing that this is what us seniors are going out on,” said senior Cameron Etzler. “It just shows that all the hard work we have put in over the years is finally paying off. We’ve had great success because we are extremely unselfish and we have great team chemistry. No one on the team cares how many points they score a night, it’s all about getting wins. It also helps that we are like a family on the court and nobody wants to let each other down.”

The Knights will face off against the Tri-Village Pioneers tonight at 8:30 p.m. The cheerleaders and pep band will be accompanying the team at the game.

The Knight Vision, Jazz Band, and Marching Band leave Orlando, Florida, this Saturday to perform in Disney World. After long competition seasons from both the marching band and show choir, it’s time for everyone to celebrate and relax in the warm weather, something that is almost rare nowadays in Convoy.

“I’m looking forward to hanging out with my friends on the bus ride there,” said sophomore Carter Brown. “I think that going around the parks will be a lot of fun, but I’m going to sweat a lot.”

OGT’s officially ended on Tuesday for the sophomores. The juniors and seniors had a two hour delay both Monday and Tuesday. They came in to school at 10 am. and then the school had shortened periods for the day.

“We did a lot of Study Island leading up to the OGT’s,” said sophomore Andrew Boley. “It helped a lot when the tests came for real.”

Next Monday the school will start their extended day schedule due to the winter weather. School will be in session from 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. This will continue for 33 straight school days.

“Practices are going to have to be changed and everything is going to be different,” said junior Lindsay Motycka.

By Daniel Joseph This time last year, Crestview students were getting over a disappointing end of the season for their boys’ basketball team and looking forward to a promising baseball season.
