(Photo submitted.)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>By Jamie Moore<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Crestview students started their week off with two days of OGT make-up tests on Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday was really the only normal day of their week. Thursday the boys\u2019 basketball team traveled to Columbus for state semi-finals against Tri-Village and came out on top with the 54-50 win and a trip to the championship game. Friday the Knights had a two-hour delay from the state semi-final game ending late on Thursday night.<\/p>\n<p>The band got the students pumped for the game in Columbus by marching through the halls playing drums with the boys basketball team, coaches and cheerleaders trailing behind them. The students followed the team out to the bus to wish them good luck and show their school spirit. Then they were on their way to Columbus.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen the band and the boys helped get the student body excited for the game on Thursday it was exciting,\u201d said senior Janelle May. \u201cWe just needed to be there and be supportive.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Friday was an exciting day for the Crestview students they were proud of the boys\u2019 team and ready to go help support them for the final game Saturday.\u00a0 They played very well in the final game and won 71-44 going undefeated the whole season.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe feeling of going undefeated the whole season was a great accomplishment for the team. I hope that we can make it just as far next year for my senior year,\u201d said junior Preston Zaleski.<\/p>\n<p>Saturday was a busy day for the Knight Vision and Jazz Band as some members performed in the pep band at the state game then came home in order to leave for Disney that evening.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was an interesting night. I finished packing for Disney on Friday.
