VW Outdoorsmen Association information<\/i><\/p>\n
The Van Wert County Outdoorsmen Association will be having a \u201cLadies Day Only\u201d event at the range. The event will take place from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, May 3.<\/p>\n
The shoot is for women who are novices around firearms or who feel uncomfortable with them. Association members will have .22-caliber rifles and .22 pistols for participants to use, so women will not need to bring anything with them. Hearing- and eye protection is also provided.<\/p>\n
The group will have National Rife Association-certified instructors and range safety officers to teach this class. Participants can be new to the shooting sports or just have questions they would like answered.<\/p>\n
This would be a great class for mothers and daughters to take together to learn more about firearms. Participants may be as young as 10 years old but must be accompanied by their mother or grandmother.\u00a0 This is a free day for women so there is no fee for this program.\u00a0 The Outdoorsmen Association will accept the first 20 women or girls to register.<\/p>\n
