{"id":50478,"date":"2014-04-09T05:16:16","date_gmt":"2014-04-09T10:16:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/?p=50478"},"modified":"2014-04-09T05:17:01","modified_gmt":"2014-04-09T10:17:01","slug":"service-club-plans-speech-language-clinic","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2014\/04\/09\/service-club-plans-speech-language-clinic\/","title":{"rendered":"Service Club plans speech-language clinic"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><i>Submitted information<\/i><\/p>\n<p>The Van Wert Service Club will sponsor a summer speech and language clinic again this year for area students.\u00a0Each child will be offered one therapy session per week for eight weeks.\u00a0Parents are welcome to attend sessions with their children.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/VW_Service_Club_logo_4-2009.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-19604\" alt=\"VW_Service_Club_logo_4-2009\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/VW_Service_Club_logo_4-2009.jpg\" width=\"150\" height=\"134\" \/><\/a>Caren Miglin, licensed speech-language pathologist, will provide the therapy.\u00a0Since the therapy sessions are held in the home clinic of the therapist, Miglin will make every effort to work around family vacations or illnesses.<\/p>\n<p>Children who are having difficulty producing sounds, constructing sentences, understanding or using words or speaking fluently, may benefit from the summer clinic.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone who would like to speak with Miglin about a child\u2019s speech, have questions regarding the summer clinic, or would like to register a child, email her at <a href=\"mailto:miglinspeechtherapy@gmail.com\">miglinspeechtherapy@gmail.com<\/a> or call 419.238.3833.
