Joseph and Riley Guest, seniors at Crestview High School, as the recipients of the Students of the Month for April.<\/p>\n<p>Students are nominated by their high schools to receive this award.\u00a0 Each Student of the Month receives a monetary donation along with a certificate from the Van Wert Elks Lodge 1197 with the possibility to be named the Student of the Year.\u00a0\u00a0 Students are judged on the basis of multiple achievements \u2013 Volunteerism, Character, Leadership, Service, Citizenship and Scholastic.<\/p>\n<p>This program is designed to recognize outstanding young men and women for their achievements in school and community.\u00a0\u00a0 The Elks wish to recognize and praise those students for their accomplishments, their activities, and their contributions to society through this program.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_50791\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-50791\" style=\"width: 545px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/Elks-Students-of-the-Month-April-2014.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-50791 \" style=\"border: 1px solid black;\" alt=\"Shown are (from the left) Daniel J.
