Baker announced that The Van Wert County Foundation will be receiving grant requests to be acted upon by trustees at their June meeting. Requests must be in the Foundation\u2019s Office by Thursday, May 15.<\/p>\n<p>Grant application forms for all agencies must be picked up at The Foundation Office.\u00a0 No applications will be mailed unless requested.<\/p>\n<p>While the Foundation endeavors to maintain a degree of flexibility in its grants the following guidelines should be noted:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Grants are geographically oriented primarily to Van Wert and Paulding counties.<\/li>\n<li>Grants are made to organizations accorded a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) public charity status by the Internal Revenue Service and to governmental units.<\/li>\n<li>Grants are not made to individuals, except those who are accepted as part of the college scholarship program.<\/li>\n<li>The Foundation does not provide grants for projects that taxpayers or commercial interests normally support.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Grant applications may be obtained from The Foundation Office, 138 E.
