This compares with the national average that has fallen 1.4 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.64 a gallon, according to gasoline price website <a href=\"http:\/\/gasbuddy.com\/\">GasBuddy.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"MGN Online graphic\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Gasoline-prices-down-4-2013.jpg\" rel=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Gasoline-prices-down-4-2013.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright  wp-image-36755\" style=\"border: 1px solid black;\" alt=\"Gasoline prices down 4-2013\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Gasoline-prices-down-4-2013.jpg\" width=\"330\" height=\"251\" \/><\/a>Including the change in gas prices in Ohio during the past week, prices yesterday were 3.0 cents per gallon lower than the same day one year ago and are 3.6 cents per gallon higher than a month ago. The national average has increased 9.2 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 13.4 cents per gallon higher than this day one year ago.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Finally, the news motorists have been waiting for &#8212; it appears that at least for now, the national average has peaked,&#8221; said <a href=\"http:\/\/gasbuddy.com\/\">GasBuddy.com<\/a> Senior Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan. &#8220;Since February 7, gasoline prices have been on an upward trajectory in a majority of the U.S., and at least for now, prices have broken that upward trend and have stabilized.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is great news, as it likely means in the next couple weeks that gasoline prices will begin seeing more downward momentum,\u201d DeHaan added. \u201cBy Memorial Day, if there aren&#8217;t major refinery kinks that develop, we could see the national average dropping into the $3.50s, or perhaps even lower.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><b>About GasBuddy<\/b><\/p>\n<p>GasBuddy operates <a href=\"http:\/\/ohiogasprices.com\/\">OhioGasPrices.com<\/a> and over 250 similar websites that track gasoline prices at over 140,000 gasoline stations in the United States and Canada.
