As part of their multi-week stay in the United States, the five members of the exchange team are visiting many Ohio cities and meeting with businesses and community leaders to learn about local Ohio government, cultural and community development, business regulation, and other civic issues.<\/p>\n<p>The team gave a presentation to Van Wert Rotary Club about different facets of life and culture in Australia, including arts initiatives, economy and commerce, community projects, and the importance of volunteers in their home city of Melbourne, in the southeast corner of Australia. Several Rotarians asked questions about the differences the team has observed between Australia and Ohio in the areas of higher education, taxes, and health insurance.<\/p>\n<p>The Group Study Exchange is a program through Rotary International in which teams of men and women in different stages of business and professional careers travel abroad and share vocational information with representatives of their respective professions in another country.
