The actions were taken following updates provided by Superintendent Brian Gerber.<\/p>\n<p>Treasurer Kim Jones and Assistant Treasurer Linda Clark also reviewed the current financial reports, investments and monthly expenditures with the board.<\/p>\n<p>Among personnel actions taken was the acceptance of the resignation of Jessica Wischmeyer, effective the end of the school year and the resignation of Kayla Dukes, effective retroactively to April 10.<\/p>\n<p>The board also approved extended school year summer services contracts to the following personnel: Angie Bonifas, summer occupational therapy services; Michelle Hanneman, summer speech therapy services; Nicole Jefferson, summer occupational therapy assistant services; Paula Lugibihl, summer physical therapy services; Linda Utendorf, summer itinerant teacher services; and Cathy Bonifas, summer speech therapy services.<\/p>\n<p>The board also approved new job descriptions for the following positions: occupational therapist, physical therapist, occupational therapist assistant, and physical therapist assistant.<\/p>\n<p>In other action, the board:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Approved applications for the Fiscal Year 2015 21st Century Grant and Alternative School Grant.<\/li>\n<li>Approved the Student Resource Center 2014-2015 calendar as presented.<\/li>\n<li>Employed Julie McGrath for two days per week of speech therapy at Thomas Edison Early Childhood Center, effective the 2014-2015 school year.<\/li>\n<li>Transferred Jennifer Moran to the newly created cross-category position at Payne Elementary School, effective the 2014-2015 school year.<\/li>\n<li>Approved any additional work days beyond the previously approved 40-day 2013-2014 contract for Tillman Karl, if also approved by the WBESC superintendent.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The WBESC Governing Board will next meeting regular session\u00a0 at 6 p.m. Monday, June 30, at the Paulding ESC office.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>VW independent\/submitted information The Western Buckeye Educational Service Center Governing Board took a number of personnel actions during its May meeting earlier this week.
