On the evening of Tuesday, June 3, a number of adults took a giant step in their lives at the Vantage Recognition Ceremony.<\/p>\n

More than 50 adult learners were recognized for completing a full-time program. They may have received a certificate for the ABLE program, or the EMT program, or the Medical Assistant program.<\/p>\n

Those in the Industrial Automated Maintenance and CNC Operation programs not only received a certificate, but they also received several transferrable college credits through a partnership with Northwest State Community College.<\/p>\n

It was all about the students, and guest speaker Julie Miller, director of the Business Enterprise Center at Wright State University-Lake Campus, focused on that. Her message to them: never stop learning.\u00a0 She also reminded students that the demand for skilled employees is higher than ever before.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis ceremony was a great event,\u201d said Vantage Adult Education Director Pete Prichard. \u201cIt showcases the classes and activities taking place at Vantage through Adult Education.\u201d<\/p>\n

Spencer Wenninger, a member of the Industrial Automated Maintenance class, spoke to his classmates and guests about his program and the teachers, and said he would always remember this class.<\/p>\n
