Sylvia Janette Height, 81, of Van Wert, died Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at Miller\u2019s Merry Manor Nursing Home in Wabash, Indiana.<\/p>\n

She was born August 15, 1932, in Van Wert, a daughter of the late Walter and P. Marie Cooper. On November 4, 1950, she married Frank Leroy \u201cTed\u201d Height, who preceded her in death on August 13, 2008.<\/p>\n

She is survived by one son, Terry Nolan (Bonnie) Height of Wabash, Indiana; a\u00a0 brother, Walter Lee Cooper of Las Vegas, Nevada; one sister, Faye (Donald) Uhl of Van Wert; three grandchildren, Jesse (Stephanie) Height of Wabash, Aaron (Lisa) Height of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Ashley (Ben) Robinson of Pierceton, Indiana; and five great-grandchildren.<\/p>\n

A son, Mark Kevin Height; and two brothers, Jesse Cooper and Donald Cooper, also preceded her in death.<\/p>\n

Mrs. Height was a graduate of Van Wert High School and spent many years as a secretary in the Van Wert City School District, from which she retired.<\/p>\n

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 11, at St. Mark\u2019s Lutheran Church in Van Wert, with Pastor Will Haggis officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.<\/b><\/p>\n

Calling hours are from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, July 10, at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert and an hour prior to services Friday at the church.<\/b><\/p>\n

Preferred memorials: St. Mark\u2019s Lutheran Church Children\u2019s Ministry.<\/p>\n
