Van Wert Elks information<\/i><\/p>\n

WREN — Van Wert Lodge 1197, Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, recently donated $377 to the Village of Wren.<\/p>\n

The monies were used by the village to purchase a Stihl Professional Weed Trimmer, as well as additional trimmer line and oil.\u00a0 The village will use the trimmer to keep its three parks and other village property maintained in proper fashion.<\/p>\n

The Ohio Elks Association distributes the monies in the form of a Community Service Grant.\u00a0 The Ohio Elks Association receives funds each year from the Elks National Foundation, a perpetual trust fund established many years ago by the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks.\u00a0 Contributions to the Foundation are made each year by more than 1 million Elks and their families and friends from more than 2,000 Elks lodges across the United States, Guam, Puerto Rico and the Philippines.<\/p>\n

Van Wert Elks Lodge is proud to be able to assist the Village of Wren with this important project.\u00a0 With this donation, the local lodge has donated a total of $29,655.28 in grants to Van Wert County communities since the inception of the Community Service program.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
