{"id":53948,"date":"2014-07-26T07:11:49","date_gmt":"2014-07-26T12:11:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/?p=53948"},"modified":"2014-07-26T07:11:49","modified_gmt":"2014-07-26T12:11:49","slug":"2014-county-fair-tickets-go-on-sale","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2014\/07\/26\/2014-county-fair-tickets-go-on-sale\/","title":{"rendered":"2014 County Fair tickets go on sale"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><i>VW County Fair information<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Season passes for the 2014 Van Wert County Fair are now available at various locations throughout the county.\u00a0 Passes are the same price as last year at $18 and allow admission for all five days of the fair, August 27-September 1.\u00a0 Single day admission is $5 for adults and $3 for kids age 9-15.\u00a0Children 8 and under get in free.<\/p>\n<p>This year offers lots of free entertainment, including Chris August in the Gospel Pavilion on Saturday, August 30, at 7 p.m.;\u00a0Polly Mae (country) in the Entertainment Tent on Wednesday, August 27, at 7 p.m. and Cook &amp; Belle (also country) on Sunday, August 31, at 7 p.m.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/VW-County-Fair-logo.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-21907 alignright\" alt=\"VW County Fair logo\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/VW-County-Fair-logo.jpg\" width=\"200\" height=\"179\" \/><\/a>Southern Gospel lovers can hear performances in the Gospel Pavilion on both Wednesday and Friday evenings, with more Contemporary Christian music on Sunday evening &#8212; all free of charge with paid admission into the fair.<\/p>\n<p>Rock \u2018n\u2019 Roll band Broken Lights\u00a0is scheduled in the Entertainment Tent on Monday, September 1, for those looking for a way to celebrate after the horse races on Labor Day.<\/p>\n<p>Season passes can be purchased at the following locations (membership tickets to vote for directors are only available at the fair office and are the same price, $18):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Van Wert \u2013 Brookside Convenience Store, Century Trading Company, Van Wert Area Chamber of Commerce, Clark\u2019s Pharmacy, Collins\u2019 Fine Foods, Kennedy-Kuhn, The Sportsman restaurant, Tyler\u2019s Short Stop, Van Wert Party Mart (Shell service station), Van Wert Area Convention &amp; Visitors Bureau, Flat Land Supply, The Partee Shop.<\/li>\n<li>Willshire \u2013 Becky\u2019s Village Restaurant, TJ\u2019s Grocerette (Willshire and Wren)<\/li>\n<li>Wren \u2013 Wrenco Trophy<\/li>\n<li>Ohio City \u2013 Ohio City Express<\/li>\n<li>Middle Point \u2013 Rambler\u2019s Roost, Huggybear Campground<\/li>\n<li>Venedocia \u2013 Hemker Grain Inc.<\/li>\n<li>Delphos \u2013 Delphos Discount Drugs, United Equity<\/li>\n<li>Convoy \u2013 Hall Lumber Company<\/li>\n<li>Glenmore \u2013 Mercer Landmark<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!--more-->In addition to season tickets, ride armbands, reserved seat tickets for harness racing, thoroughbred racing, the truck and tractor pull, the Demolition Derby, The Build a New Band Show featuring The Naked Karate Girls, and the cheerleading competition need to be purchased at the fair office.<\/p>\n<p>The fair office, located at 1055 S.
