The National Rifle Association Foundation recently provided $13,000 in grant\u00a0money to the Van Wert County Outdoorsmen Association to fund programs developed to promote youth and women\u2019s shooting sports\u00a0programs.<\/p>\n

Additional funds were also granted for range improvements.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe NRA Foundation is committed to ensuring that the Shooting Sports are made available the public,\u201d said Ohio NRA Representative Marc Peugeot. \u201cTraining and education programs that\u00a0the Van Wert County Outdoorsmen Association Inc. offers are very important. They ensure the future generation has an opportunity to enjoy the sport in a safe setting under the supervision of certified firearms trainers.\u201d<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s Founding Freedom Friends of the NRA fundraiser will be on Saturday, August 16,at the Van Wert Elks Lodge, 1197 Elks Drive in Van Wert (off Van Wert-Decatur Road). Doors will open at 5 p.m.<\/p>\n
